 (International League) The Royals were longtime favorites in the great French Canadian city, and were a lop affiliate of the Brooklyn Dodgers. History was made in a Royals uniform in April 1946 when Jackie Robinson (#9) became the first African American player in modern times to play in “organized” baseball.
